BCS report: IT in your organisation 2022

When I talk to most CEO or leaders of public service organisations about the challenges and opportunities they face, it soon become apparent that digital technologies have a massive role to play in helping them achieve their goals.

It’s encouraging to see that transforming the business is now the top priority. With the resource utilisation improvements that come from cloud and the damage that can be done by hackers it’s no surprise to see these two technologies at the top of the list. And seeing the growing pervasiveness of AI, and ML specifically, I understand why these technologies appear high in the rankings.

I’m grateful to those BCS members who took part in the survey; being able to compare your assessment with professionals outside your company is one of the benefits we all get from belonging.
