About us
The Faculty of Health and Care brings together digital, data, clinical and technical professionals working in health and social care to drive digital innovation where it matters most. Technology has transformed diagnosis, treatment and care, but it has to be managed to make sure it’s effective and safe. Our focus is on digital solutions that improve safety, efficiency and access — helping build health systems that are ready for the future.
During 2024, we welcomed members, fellows and special interest groups of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics (FCI) into the BCS family. The development of the Faculty will be an iterative process and we will adapt to the needs of our expanded membership and the input of our stakeholders, including the other professional bodies in the wider informatics field as represented in the Federation for Informatics Professionals (FEDIP). We warmly invite members to get involved in helping to shape the Faculty as an energetic and influential body that is fit for the future of health and care.
