Why I love tech/advice to younger self/why I am involved in BCSWomen Scotland/etc:
As someone who loves to learn new things, working in the world of Technology suits me perfectly! I learn something new every day and I’m constantly challenged. I spend my days thinking about how technology and change impacts people and I put steps in place to ensure that people are supported.
Volunteering as part of BCSWomen Scotland also helps give me a different perspective. I have met some amazing women who are so supportive and inspire me to play my part in encouraging women and girls into the world of technology.

Why I love tech/advice to younger self/why I am involved in BCSWomen Scotland/etc:
I love tech as I find it fascinating how technology can change our work and personal lives. I believe tech can be a massive force for positive change. Working as a project manager, I really enjoy finding out about new technology and implementing it. It’s not always plain sailing, though that’s part of the experience!
I now also support female founders of start-up businesses, many of which are tech based, and invest in them as part of a female investing group.
I’m involved in BCS Women Scotland as I’m passionate about getting more girls and women into IT careers, and helping them stay in tech.

Why I love tech/advice to younger self/why I am involved in BCSWomen Scotland/etc:
Although I am a member of the team who does not work in a traditionally ‘tech’ career, I regularly work closely with clients across the tech industry. The ever-evolving industry, and parallel changes for the law, is something which always fascinates me.
