Volunteer training and development

At BCS, we value the dedication of our volunteers in their mission to make IT good for society. To empower our volunteers to continue delivering their important work to the highest standard, we provide a programme of volunteering training and development.

What training is available?

• Unconscious bias training equips our volunteers with the skillset they need to recognise their own prejudices and work towards a diverse and inclusive BCS.
• Social media and branding training is coming soon to BCS volunteers. Watch this space.
• Test yourself on GDPR and help us protect our member data and privacy under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)
• Broadcasting and virtual recording training is coming soon to BCS volunteers. It will enable volunteers to host better webinars and virtual meetings.
• BCS is looking to introduce mental health support and guidance for BCS volunteers in these difficult times. If you can help us facilitate this need, please get in touch.
