Synopsis
Come and join this webinar to find out how the Digital Neighbourhood Network Scheme (Digital NNS) in Birmingham, a city-wide initiative aims at enhancing digital inclusion among older citizens and those with long-term disabilities.
The project collaborates with the city's 10 Neighbourhood Network Schemes (NNS) to assess their digital maturity and implement strategies to improve access to essential digital tools and services.
Digital NNS supports community groups, social prescribers, and social workers in building digital skills and capacity, ensuring they can provide appropriate digital support to their communities.
The initiative offers support and guidance on setting up digital inclusion activities, advice on obtaining affordable digital devices and data, and hosts webinars on topics like AI and online safety.
Additionally, the Digital NNS Fund provides grants of up to £2,000 to support digital inclusion projects across Birmingham.
This is part of an ongoing series of monthly webinars to socialise the issue of the digital divide and how individuals, communities and organisations can help.
