About the Spring School
The 2025 Spring School focuses on avoiding project disasters.
Success requires much more than simply applying methodology - it requires knowledge, skills, leadership, governance and maybe good luck (or should we say risk management).
There is also the question of what to do when things are going wrong. Could you rescue the situation? Or, ultimately, should you kill it now to cut the losses?
Synopsis
Typically, governance is described as the set of activities and guidelines that determine how a project is planned, executed and managed, and is considered one of the key criteria for successful projects. At a time of major complex projects co-owned across organisations and with extensive supply chains, the design, mobilisation and sustainability of robust and appropriate governance is crucial.
Sarah will use current research, professional body guidance and her own experiences to explore socio-behavioural as well as functional considerations of project governance. Please come with some reflections on the governance of your own projects for discussion.
