Synopsis
This talk will explore the technical, social, ethical and legal implications of “drones”, land, sea and air robots, human like conscience.
Technical challenges relating to data collection and processing, reliability of decision making, and safety concerns will be explored. Technical challenges of embedding conscience will be presented, this aspect will explore self-awareness, understanding morality, emotional reasoning, and the limitations of software structures and algorithms. The cognitive and the conative elements and the ability and/or the inability of AI based systems will be examined in the decision-making process.
The talk will address the key question, can we allow the drones to make life and death decisions?
