Synopsis
As businesses across all sectors embrace technological transformation, digital and AI skills are increasingly in demand. According to the World Economic Forum, up to 40% of the workforce will need to reskill due to AI by 2027. City & Guilds have teamed up with IBM to offer free introductory learning programmes to help learners gain a greater insight into the world of careers in Digital and IT. The introductory courses are designed to give you an overview of the skills and knowledge you need to get started in the growing tech sector, covering high-demand areas.
The courses are:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Cybersecurity
- Journey into Tech
- Digital Sustainability
At this session we will talk you through these courses and their uses.
About the speaker
David began his career in the education sector as an FE Lecturer and Course Leader at Lakes College West Cumbria, where he spent nearly six years delivering a range of Digital qualifications from Level 2 to 5, as well as Games Design and Development within the Creative sector. Currently, he is a Technical Advisor for the Digital sector at City & Guilds. David's extensive knowledge is complemented by his continuous drive for professional development, which, along with his teaching experience, enables him to provide valuable support, advice, and guidance to a variety of stakeholders. Recently, David further enhanced his expertise by completing an MSc in Data Analytics.
