Synopsis
This presentation on Ethical AI for Business will provide an overview of AI in business, highlighting both the ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks that guide its development and use. The presenation will cover three areas:
What is AI?
- Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI – Learn about the ethical principles that should guide AI development, including fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy. We’ll discuss how these principles ensure AI is used responsibly in business and builds trust with customers and stakeholders.
- The UK’s Framework for AI Regulations – Discover the UK’s approach to regulating AI, how businesses can navigate the country’s regulatory landscape and the government’s strategy on making sure that AI is safe, ethical, and trustworthy.
This event is aimed at:
BCS members, University, college and school students, local business people and the general public interested in understanding artificial intelligence.
Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over. Under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

About the speaker
Eya Meddeb: Data Scientist, PhD student and Associate Lecturer. University of Worcester.
Eya Meddeb is full-time PhD student and an Associate Lecturer at the Computing Department, University of Worcester. Her research interests are in Causal Inference, Causal structure learning, Machine/Deep learning, System Dynamics, Employee turnover, and Human Resources Management. Eya obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering in 2016 and MSc in Economics and Management in 2019, from the National engineering school of Tunis, Tunisia.
