Synopsis
The Bristol & Bath Branch is running a pilot mentoring programme that will provide mentors to undergraduate students at three of its universities: Bath, Bath Spa and UWE.
This talk is primarily for mentors on the programme, and will cover the practicalities and particular requirements that apply when a mentee is an undergraduate student; it may also be of interest to mentees on the programme, and to others with a general interest in the transition from full-time education into work.
It will also talk about BCS EDI groups can help those students who are typically disadvantaged and prejudiced in our industry and in wider society. The details here will not be restricted to BCS-related subjects, so it may additionally be of interest to those working in other industrial areas.
