Synopsis

Internet of Things, sensors and Long Range Wide Area Networks followed by lightening talks! Learn how automated measurement allows your staff to focus on unique work rather than routine, statutory measurements.

Bulk measure in remote, dirty, cold, hot, inaccessible – 24 /7, regularly and with automated data recording, automated alerts and insightful notifications.

Scott Andrews, who has worked with IoT LoRaWAN sensors in the public and private sector, is going to let us know about the opportunities of efficiencies that these remote, battery powered IoT sensors can bring.

Scott will talk us through how the data provided can assist efficiencies and bring insights to processes and help your organisation explore future cost challenges. We will follow Scott’s talk with a session where we will host lightening talks – an opportunity for you to showcase your own work for 10 minutes.

Please bring along a short slide deck – or just chat – if you would like to present something, although it’s not mandatory!

Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be served.

The Conwy Business Centre is just off the A55 at Llandudno Junction, close to Cineworld.

Whilst this is an in-person event, it will be recorded & added to the BCS YouTube channel for viewing if you are not able to attend.

About the speaker

My current job role is working with proven technologies such as IoT, LoraWAN, gateways and sensors via TTN and presenting that data onto platforms so people can be notified automatically and other people can review identify trends.

I have implemented and am always evolving a community accessible LoraWAN IoT network available via TTN & TTI.

We have hundreds of sensors monitoring CO2, temperature and humidity, sensors monitoring soil moisture, parking spaces, rainfall, river levels and bin levels.

Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over.
