Synopsis
We present insights into public sector IT procurement, drawing on the BCS Consultancy SG's latest contribution, "IT Procurement in the Public Sector", recently published in the Public Sector Buyers' Guide 2025.
We build on our last year's contribution, and explore challenges and opportunities in IT discussed in the Autumn Budget 2024, addressing major failures like the Post Office Scandal, Algorithmic Bias, and the Global Outage of CrowdStrike.
Drawing on the Autumn Budget 2024, we highlight the role of digital skills and ESG in achieving the goals of "building Britain" and "fixing the NHS" through effective IT procurement.
The current article we contributed is: https://governmentbusiness.co.uk/public-sector-buyers-guide-2025.
