About the speakers

Eliza-May AustinEliza-May Austin CEO of th4ts3cur1ty company

Eliza is driven within her business endeavours: to render cyber defence not only relevant but genuinely achievable.

Recognizing the prevalent need to outsource for robust cyber defence, she champions this necessity wholeheartedly, given that her business thrives on it. Yet, she is acutely aware of the barriers many enterprises face, often priced out of the market for essential cybersecurity services. Moreover, she acknowledges the common perception among non-cybersecurity professionals that the industry's offerings are shrouded in complexity, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation. In her conference talks, Eliza consistently emphasises accessibility. Her goal is to equip attendees with actionable insights they can readily implement upon returning to their respective offices.

By demystifying cybersecurity and imparting practical strategies, she empowers individuals to effect tangible improvements in their organisation's security posture.

For Eliza, it's not just about discourse; it's about delivering genuine value that translates into meaningful outcomes in the cyber security industry

Rosie AndersonRosie Anderson is Head of Strategic Solutions for th4ts3cur1ty.company

Rosie transitioned into Cyber security from Cyber Security recruitment, having spent two decades talking to businesses to solve their hiring challenges. She now uses those skills to help businesses solve their cybersecurity challenges.

Rosie has been fascinated with cyber security for over 8 years and believes in giving back and helping to demystify this industry. She is a founding member of BSides Lancashire, was part of the team to bring back BSides Leeds, and can generally be found supporting UK BSides events as a volunteer (BSides Newcastle and BSides Cambridge)

That’s also partly why Rosie signed up for a role as Head of Industry Mentoring with CAPSLOCK too, and is thrilled to be part of the Ethical Council for Hacking Games! Giving back is important to her, and she loves the pay-it-forward mentality.

Honest, open, and not afraid to ask difficult questions, Rosie concentrates on building strong relationships to make sure she can provide her customers with the best service possible. She also prides herself on being easy to work with, and having some fun along the way - Life is too short to not be doing a job that you love!
