This interactive session will feature insights from top industry professionals, including Lisa Ventura MBE (Cyber Security Unity), Shanai King (Lloyds Banking Group), and Wendy Goucher MSc FBCS CITP ChCSP (Arcanum Cyber Security) and Hedvig M (Technical Liaison for Cyberwomen Groups CIC and OT Cybersecurity Consultant).

Lisa Ventura MBE

Lisa Ventura MBE – Founder, Cyber Security Unity Lisa Ventura MBE is an award-winning cyber security specialist, published writer/author, and keynote speaker. She is the Founder of Cyber Security Unity, a global community organisation that is dedicated to bringing individuals and organisations together who actively work in cyber security to help combat the growing cyber threat. As a consultant Lisa also works with cyber security leadership teams to help them work together more effectively and provides cyber security awareness and culture training, and training on the benefits of hiring those who are neurodiverse. She has specialist knowledge in the human factors of cyber security, cyberpsychology, neurodiversity and AI in cyber. Lisa is a Professional Member of the BCS (MBCS). Shanai King

Shanai King, Hybrid Cloud Security Lead, Lloyd’s Banking Group Shanai is a respected leader in the Cyber Security community, known for her extensive experience in security change. Her dedication to the field is evident in her passion for problem-solving and her drive to constantly improve the value of any services she is responsible for. One of Shanai’s standout abilities is her skill in bridging the gap between technical and business language within Cyber Security. She excels at translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders, ensuring that security measures align with organisational goals and strategies. Wendy Goucher

Wendy Goucher, Cyber Security Consultant at Arcanum Cyber and BCSWomen Committee Member Wendy Goucher MSc FBCS CITP ChCSP is a Cyber Security Consultant at Arcanum Cyber where she gets to work in teams with some brilliant folks. She specialises in risk and assurance because her perspective is business focused, rather than technical. She has also written textbooks and cyber safety books for both lower and upper primary school age. These same skills also help her to design policies, although they generally have fewer pictures. Wendy also writes cyber safety short stories for retired folk who don’t get training from their workplace any longer. Wendy is proud to be a Chartered Fellow of the BCS, and on the committees of BCS Women, ISSG and DiversIT and was hugely honoured to join the BCS Council and the BCS Community Board, which means that she has to roll up her sleeves and work for people outside as well as inside work.

Hedvig M

Since discovering the field of cybersecurity, she has immersed herself in the complexities and challenges. Committed to continuous learning and adaptation, she’s now focused on inspiring others to create their own paths to achievement and success.

Nicola Martin

Nicola Martin, Founder, NMC&C. Chair, BCS SIGiST and BCSWomen Committee Member Nicola Martin FBCS is a technologist with over two decades of experience in the tech sector. She is the founder of Nicola Martin Coaching & Consultancy and a professional career coach. Nicola is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in software engineering and is a recognised thought leader in software engineering. Nicola plays an active role in shaping the future of the tech industry. As a sought-after mentor, speaker, and panellist, she addresses key issues such as Al, quality, software testing, mentorship and coaching and the need for greater diversity in tech. Nicola's work has earned her numerous accolades, including appearances on the UKTech50 long list and the Computer Weekly Most Influential Women in UK Tech List (Top 50).
