Synopsis
This talk aims to provide attendees with an understanding of what existed before DevOps, why it emerged as a methodology and the key foundational principles from a people, process and technology perspective.
It then goes on to describe how and why DevSecOps came to prominence, the myriad of benefits resulting from its adoption, common pitfalls and the ways software security testing might be positioned as part of a DevSecOps toolchain.
About the speaker
Nick Barham
During his tenure at Veracode, Nick has collaborated with enterprises across multiple industries to help drive successful software security programs and reduce application risk.
His close contact with dev teams has helped him build a strong understanding of 'what works’, enabling them with the tooling and mindset needed to code securely and consider supply chain risk when developing software.
In his current role, Nick collaborates with existing customers who are either thinking about embedding DevSecOps or are already on the journey to doing so and are seeking guidance in maturing their security practices using Veracode.
