Synopsis
Presently, AI tools and techniques are designed, researched and used mostly in a data-driven way outside of their social context of usage. This could cause widespread anxiety about their social and economic consequences.
AI systems have increasing potential to tackle some of the world’s most challenging social problems in healthcare, social care, finance and economics, industry and environment amongst many others.
We will review the history, current context (industrial revolutions, big data, AI algorithms) and challenges that motivate the need to define Responsible AI and its adoption by humanity.
