Synopsis
As part of our #NewYearNewCareer series of events for January 2023, Emma and Nathaniel will call on their expertise in the IT Contracting field, to provide insights and advice for those looking for Contract and/or Permanent roles.
Whether you are an experienced contractor, or thinking of making a move into contracting, this session will cover a range of important considerations and market information, including:
- The recruitment and job market in Northern Ireland, including salaries and rates, FDI opportunities, industry types and the 2023 forecast
- What a recruitment agency does, and the benefits of working with a recruitment agency to further your career as a contractor
- What to consider if you are thinking about contracting, including IR35, insurances, salaries vs rates.
There will also be opportunity for Q&A at the end of the session.
About the speakers
Emma Douds – IT Contracts Manager
Emma has been with Realtime for over 6.5 years and specialises in Contract IT recruitment. During this time Emma has helped many IT Contractors secure quality contract positions across UK and NI. Emma offers expert advice to those who are thinking about moving from a Permanent position to the IT Contract market and offers advice to the more seasoned contractors, who may be looking for market advice on daily rates and a forecast of potential roles.
She can introduce Contractors to various software houses and help secure their first or next contract. Having access to valuable advice and guidance is a key part in Emma’s role to ensure all Contractors that she hires are compliant with the complex IR35 regulations. Clients rely on Emma to provide quality and compliant IT Contractors to fill open positions within their company which enables them complete critical business projects.
