Synopsis
Online users, financial institutions, companies and even grocery stores are under constant attack from Cyber criminals. All actors are involved, which significantly increases the complexity of the response required.
We’ll look at the two most common attacks resulting in large losses - phishing and malware. We will briefly step through each type of attack, highlighting the understanding required in order to develop an effective response. We will then look to how to detect attacks and effectively respond to them. We will cover tactical countermeasures, intelligence gathering to pre-empt attacks, incident response, and analyzing big data to disrupt active attacks.
The session will draw on the presenter’s own experiences in assisting companies and financial institutions to respond to these types of attacks and will give the audience a playbook with practical recommendations for their organisations.
About the speaker
Prof. Claudio Cilli is a recognized world leading authority in the areas of National Security and Intelligence, company protection, information systems security and compliance, with over 25 years of experience. He currently advises governments and int’l companies in the cyber-security and critical infrastructures protection areas.
