Synopsis
Given that sustainable IT is a driver for many IT departments across all sectors of industry and particularly IT within the UK Government, Andy Thomas will address the issues of sustainability with reference to Cloud environments.
About the speaker
Andy Thomas
Andy Thomas has 36 years of experience in technical roles with some of the world's most prominent IT vendors, including IBM, Microsoft and AWS. Andy's current role is to lead AWS's Cloud Architecture team focused on The Department for Work and Pensions.
His responsibilities cover a broad remit, ranging from being a subject matter expert in Kubernetes to advocating architecture best practices via the AWS Well-Architected process, which now includes a specific focus on sustainability
