The Nursing Specialist group AGM will include a presentation of the 2021 winner of the Best Health Sector IT Project of the Year, The Welsh Nursing Care Record. It will demonstrate how the collaboration between multiple professions led to the development and implementation of this award winning project.

We're actively seeking new members to join the committee and help us put on events in nursing and deliver the BCS strategy. Please nominate yourself with this quick and easy form
Those standing for election need to abide by the BCS code of conduct and comply with BCS rules and governance.
The Committee must include at least 3 professional members, two filling the roles of Chair and Treasurer. The group is also required to appoint the roles of Early Careers Advocate and Inclusion Officer.
About the speaker
Fran Beadle
Fran is currently employed by Digital Health and Care Wales to advise on the standardisation and digitalisation of nursing documentation across Wales to support the delivery of a “Once for Wales” electronic health record in collaboration with government and national nursing leaders. Leading to NHS Wales winning the Nursing Times award for Technology and Data in Nursing, 2020 and the Best IT HealthCare Project 2021
Fran’s previous experience includes advising on the development of nursing documentation standards, policies and guidelines at local and national levels. Fran has provided leadership on identifying how data can support the attainment of key performance indicators and deliver overall service improvement.
Fran chairs the BCS Nursing Specialist Group, she is a member of the Welsh Nursing and Midwifery Council and represents Wales on the Five Nations Digital Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Group.
