Synopsis

Released on 31st March, version 4 of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is the first major revision of the standard for nine years. This webinar will provide an introduction to the new standard from one of the standard’s contributors and will look at:

  • The implementation timeline
  • The major new requirements
  • The new risk-based, customised approach to meeting a security objective
  • How an organisation can be partially compliant
  • Where the standard still falls short
  • Whether this version represents an evolution, or a revolution

About the speaker

John Elliott specialises in security directives. Particularly how payment security standards and data protection regulations interact with real-world cyber security. He’s represented both Visa Europe and Mastercard on the PCI Security Standards Council, and contributed to many of the PCI standards including most recently PCI DSS v4.
