The term Fake News dominated the airways in the aftermath of the 2016 Brexit Referendum and the USA Presidential election. But Fake News has always been around. What has changed? Where we are now, and what are the indications of the future of Fake News?

Dr Fadi Safieddine MBCS, Senior Lecturer, UEL (University of East London), BSc(Hons), MSc, P.G.Cert, FE.HE., PhD
Dr Fadi Safieddine is a Senior Lecturer in Management Information Systems, He has 20+ years of experience in Higher Education. As a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), he has been actively involved in university accreditations for BIS programmes. A keen researcher in applying technology in education, combating online misinformation (Fake News), Business Modelling, and Data Fusion. Dr Safieddine has been researching the phenomena of Fake News since 2016 and has several international publications and books on this subject.
