Synopsis
This webinar series consists of career stories and a forum to ask questions from industry professionals.
In this session, Jag and Emma will discuss the importance of project management but also other non-technical abilities in need today.
This session will extend on the roles already covered in previous sessions and explore success stories in large change projects!
About the hosts
Jag Sohal - Senior Business Relationship Manager at NFU Mutual
Jag is an experienced Senior IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) with a demonstrated history of working in financial services, premium automotive and facilities support services industry both at a strategic and tactical level. An excellent record of working as a trusted partner with executive stakeholders. Skilled in strategic planning and working with all tiers of IT to achieve shared business goals & objectives. Jag has strong commercial business acumen combined with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
Jag is interested in sciences, mindfulness, innovation and sustainability.
Emma Feltham - Head of IT Delivery at National Trust
Guest Speaker: Emma Feltham has worked at National Trust since September 2012 in a variety of senior leadership roles in IT. She is currently Head of IT Delivery and is responsible for the end-to-end IT portfolio for public-facing and revenue-generating IT services, delivering projects and programmes and supporting the associated live services.
Much of her experience at the Trust has focused on Business Relationship Management and she completed her BRM-P certification in August 2018, after completing the BCS Specialist Certificate in Business Relationship Management in January 2016. She is also an Associate of the Institute of Leadership & Management.
Her early career, following a degree in Chemistry and PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry, focused on further academic research and then managing research and training portfolios at the UK Research Councils - where she established a strategic partnership portfolio working with companies carrying out research across all sectors of the economy.
Emma has chaired the Collaboration, Innovation, Technology Forum (CITF) Gender Balance and Diversity Committee since January 2017. She has been involved in the group since 2015. She was shortlisted for the Women in IT Advocate of the Year Award in January 2018. Emma is also Co-Founder of the Swindon Inclusion & Diversity Network.
Outside of work, Emma loves live music (singing in a choir and going to concerts and festivals), yoga, nature and the great outdoors.
