With the proliferation of smart devices, our home networks may now have numerous types of devices connected to them – from voice assistants to heating controls to internet-connected cat flaps! Do you trust them, should you trust them and what steps should you be taking to keep your home network secure? Do you need Zero Trust for your Home Network?
About the speaker
Jamie Pease - IT Security Consultant (Freelance) & Chair of the GSE UK Security Working Group
Jamie is an IT Security Consultant, specialising in Security and Compliance on the IBM Mainframe (yes, they still exist!) - he has practised in this field for over 25 years. In his spare time, he volunteers for Guide Share Europe UK Region, where he is chair of the Security Working Group. One of Jamie’s hobbies is tinkering with his home network, IoT devices, automation etc – he has learned a few lessons along the way, including some best practices for securing a home network. Jamie is a member of the BCS and is a CITP.
