Synopsis

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and its sad consequences, 2020-21 has seen unprecedented disruption, unforeseen transformation, unpredictable changes, accelerated adaption of remote working practices and innovative delivery - including for BCS Member Groups.

Despite challenges, we managed to deliver another great year of interesting, informative and popular events for BCS Central London and North London Branches focused on the worlds of IT and IT professionalism! And now we’re looking forward to a bright, happy and healthy future. How about you?

About the speaker

Dalim Basu FBCS CITP CISA CRISC BSc.(Hons)

Chairman, BCS Central London & North London Branches Events Director, ISACA London Chapter Dalim is an IT professional with expertise in IT Governance and Risk Management. His work experience includes IT audit, compliance, controls, security, PMO and project management up to global level.

As well as being a Director of DSL IT Risk Management Consultancy for many years, he worked in the UK and other countries for major financial and business services firms such as PwC, KPMG, Chase Manhattan Bank, ITN, Lehman Brothers, Lloyds Banking Group, Mitsubishi, Mizuho Bank, Nomura, Shell and Zurich Financial Services.

As voluntary activities, Dalim is Chairman of the dynamic BCS North London branch, plus Chairman of Central London Branch, the largest BCS branch. He is also Events Director of the award-winning ISACA London Chapter (with over 4000 members), delivering events on IT compliance, risk management, assurance, governance, security, cybersecurity and privacy.

He is a judge of BCS/Computing ‘UK IT Awards for Excellence’, and chairs and presents at many events and conferences in the UK and other countries. He also guides and advises IT students, innovators and entrepreneurs at many levels.
