Data quality (DQ) in primary care records is critically important for delivering effective healthcare.
Synopsis
Dr Chris Weatherburn will present his most recently published paper in the Scottish Medical Journal which explores issues surrounding DQ in Primary Care and discuss ways in which DQ could be improved.
Data quality (DQ) in primary care records is critically important for delivering effective healthcare. Recently the importance of DQ has increased, with huge reliance on primary care data to identify people who are clinically extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 and those who should be prioritised for vaccination. Clinical decision support also relies on well coded data, otherwise you may get "garbage in, garbage out".
