Synopsis
Some trivia: Do you know what was the first book published by the BCS? The answer is “A Manager's Guide to IT Law”. Now with refreshed content and an updated title “A Practical Guide to IT Law”, the BCS has published the 3rd edition in December 2020.
This is comprehensive guide for non-legal management professionals which discusses common IT-related legal issues faced by businesses.
The BCS Law SG is delighted to host an event where Dr Sam De Silva (Chair of the BCS Law SG and one of authors of the book) will have a virtual fireside chat with the 2 editors Jeremy Holt and Jeremy Newton and one of the other authors, Sara Ellacott.
The 2 Jeremy’s and Sara are extremely experienced and knowledgeable technology lawyers and having all 3 of them in one room (virtually of course!) to discuss various IT law issues is a rare and unusual event not to be missed! Legal concepts and terminology are notoriously difficult for non-specialists, but Sam is confident that the panel will explain complex IT law issues in plain English and give practical examples from their experiences.
The audience will also have the opportunity to pose questions to the any of the panel and if that is not sufficient incentive to attend, attendees on the day will receive a 40% discount off the RRP of the Book if purchased via the BCS web shop on the 8th or 9th of March.
