Synopsis
Many of you will be familiar with the history of Bletchley Park and the important work undertaken there during the Second World War. After the Second World War, it became several training schools: for teachers, members of GCHQ, Post Office workers and more, and is now a heritage site, preserving the vital work the Code Breakers undertook there.
The South Yorkshire BCS branch is organising a joint virtual visit with Sheffield Hallam University to Bletchley Park on Friday the 25th of June, as a Special Event for BCS members and non-BCS members within the South Yorkshire area. This event has been organised alongside Sheffield Hallam University. Tickets are limited, and booking is essential. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Because of the current situation regarding the COVID pandemic, this event will be online, and we will send a link to all participants before the start time of the event.
The event will start promptly at 13:30 and finish around 15:30.
This event is a subsidised event and a great opportunity to visit and learn more about Bletchley Park and the essential Code Breaking work that was undertaken during the Second World War.
Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over.
