Synopsis

The Scottish Radiology Transformation Programme (SRTP) is an ambitious programme of work that is transforming the way radiology services are delivered in Scotland. The vision for Radiology in Scotland is for:

“A world class, person-centred, sustainable radiology service that continually improves the health & wellbeing of the people of Scotland”

Under the SRTP, the Scottish National Radiology Reporting Service (SNRRS) is developing to maximise the potential of the IT connectivity within the SRTP.

This will include a bank, a model for speciality networks and a means to facilitate local work and local networks. Meanwhile, another project under SRTP is scoping emerging AI technology to bridge the gap between service capacity and demand, alongside expanding workforce capabilities and expertise. Also, a Clinical Decision Support (CDS) pilot is evaluating the improvements and efficiencies delivered to both the patient experience and radiology resource, when the right referral is made first time.

We will be giving a brief introduction to the Scottish Radiology Transformation Programme and the work done to date within the programme and then more specifically we will share:

  • The journey of the Scottish National Radiology Reporting Service
  • The adoption of Clinical Decision Support and Artificial Intelligence within radiology

Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over.

For overseas delegates who wish to attend the event, please note that BCS does not issue invitation letters.
