Synopsis
There has been a long-standing ambition for consultants to be able to earn Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) status. This new accreditation has now been developed by the CMI and approved by Privy Council. For IT consultants operating in transformation, innovation, business IT, digital enterprise, etc. this is a way for differentiating themselves through an independent validation of their consultancy expertise and experience.
We have invited Zarina Naqvi to talk us through this accreditation from personal experience. Zarina is a top consultant operating in the technology entrepreneurship area and has been amongst the first wave of consultants earning this accreditation and became the first woman to become a Chartered Management Consultant.
She will talk to us about this new accreditation and the reasons she has earned it, what her experiences were and what she expects it to bring to her practice. And as an assessor for the charter, she will introduce us to the process and give tips on how to move through the stages smoothly.
This will be an exceptionally well-timed talk for all experienced consultants looking to bring an independent accreditation of quality to their consulting as reassurance for their clients.
About the speaker
Zarina is a management consultant specialising in leveraging mature organisations in the private sector where there is a technology dependence and brings commercialisation to public sector and not for profit entities.
She is a Director of Maxima Associate which she founded in 2012 and is also a non-executive director. She holds a MSc from London Business School and UCL and is a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC). She has served on the London Committee of the Institute of Consulting (IC) , is the IC Consulting Champion on the London Regional Board of CMI and sits on the Institute of Consulting Advisory Council.
