We’re at the beginning of a digital revolution in health and social care. We want informatics professionals to commit to take this journey with us, invest in their career development and be part of this great transformation.

Join us for a free workshop where we will talk further about the importance of standards and professionalism for health informaticians, and help guide you whilst you write your application there on the day.

What will the workshop cover?

 

The workshop will focus on what FEDIP means and how you can play your part in unlocking the potential in the informatics community.

BCS will be on hand throughout the day to:

 

• Guide you through and help you understand how to write your submission

• Provide tips and tricks on how to make your application stand out

• Help you have the confidence to submit your application

• Provide further information about other member benefits such as CHIME, CHCIO and CITP.

What do I need to prepare for the day?

 

In order to be awarded FEDIP status, you need to be a BCS member ahead of the workshop, please ensure you are an existing member, or have signed up before the day. (If you’re an Organistaional Member contact your scheme coordinator to sign up)

You will also need to have:

• Read the ‘FEDIP standard’ documentation as you will be measured against this

• Chosen your level of FEDIP registration

• A supporter for your application, usually your line manager or a colleague of similar standing

• An up-to-date CV, covering a period of no more than the last 10 years

• Thought about at least 3 work senarios to help you evidence your application
