Synopsis
Has your organisation embarked on the digital transformation journey to migrate its applications to Public Cloud? As an internal audit professional with several years of experience in IT Audit and having led several audits related to public cloud security, resiliency and governance, during this session, Tejjashree Rao (Head of Audit for Electronic Trading and Technology for NatWest Markets) will:
- Examine the key risks and challenges organizations need to consider when migrating to public cloud
- An overview of the common concerns about data privacy and security when migrating to the cloud
- Definitions of key terms - privacy, security, compliance, and reliability - and will provide some of today’s top cybersecurity challenges and threats in relation to Cloud Computing

About the speaker
Tejjashree Rao, Global Head of Algorithmic Trading and Technology Audit, NatWest Markets
Tejjashree (Shree) is presently the Global Head of Audit for Algorithmic Trading and Technology at NatWest Markets (the Investment Banking subsidiary of the NatWest Group), a role she has held since December 2018. Prior to that, Shree has held a number of senior leadership roles at top-tier global financial institutions in Internal Audit and in the first line of defence within the Capital Markets division leading the implementation of Electronic and Algorithmic Trading Controls for MIFID II regulatory compliance. She has over 16 years in the areas of business and integrated technology auditing, technology consulting and risk advisory in 3 out of the Big 4 Accounting Firms, with over 9 years of business and technology audit experience across several leading Investment Banks.
She is multi-skilled in both business & technology controls within Financial Services, with a strong track record of successfully building out hybrid auditor capabilities in teams. She has also led several audits related to the migration of the bank’s applications to the Cloud. Over the years, she has developed strong global and cultural awareness by working in several geographic locations including London, Europe, India, Singapore, and New York. She is a Member of the Women in IIA Steering Committee, and a Diversity and Inclusion champion at NatWest Markets. She has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from India and passed the CISA exam in 2006.
