BCS Green IT SG is supporting the ICT4S 2020 conference. This is the foremost international academic conference on topic of ICT for Sustainability. This year the conference was due to be held in Bristol but because of the COVID-19 pandemic it will be held online.
Synopsis
The ICT4S conferences bring together leading researchers in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for Sustainability with government and industry representatives, including decision-makers with an interest in using ICT for sustainability, researchers focusing on ICT effects on sustainability and developers of sustainable ICT systems or applications. Equally important to the conference is the inclusion of the views, processes and constraints that the various groups within society face when pursuing sustainability through ICT, such as, community engagement for local energy groups, and activism.

There will be a series of keynote speakers and wide-ranging presentations during the day. The BCS Green IT SG will be running an early evening panel discussion on research themes relating to Green IT.
