SYNOPSIS
As computers have entered our daily lives their security has become ever so important. News about major security breaches is becoming more and more common with omnipresent "hackers" taking down even the most secure of the systems. Have you ever wondered how did hacking come about? Tatjana Siderinko will take a trip as far back as 1903 where the technology that got hacked was - the telegraph! She will then work her way rapidly up to the present day to look at how has hacking evolved. Stay tuned!

SPEAKER BIO
"Tatjana is a PhD student at the Centre for Electronic Warfare, Information and Cyber at Cranfield Defence and Security. Her PhD seeks to explore new ways of protecting organisations using simulated hacking attempts and new ways to engage hackers in research using gamification during the data collection process. She has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Manchester and has previously worked as a professional software engineer in companies ranging from airport baggage handling automation, to ARM and finance."
