Ioetec specialises in securing the data generated by IoT devices and is focused on two key market segments, Industrial IoT and Connected Medical Devices. The talk will give an overview of Ioetec and our credentials and then discuss the problems associated with securing the resource-constrained devices typically used in medical devices and why conventual methods of security such as TLS and Blockchain are not appropriate. Some examples of poor security will be given together with how this situation can be improved.

Michael Faulks
Michael Faulks is a highly motivated and experienced Technical Director / VP Engineering with specialist knowledge of cybersecurity. Extensive management experience and detailed knowledge of the software design and programming process. He currently is the CTO and co-founder of Ioetec Ltd that specialised in securing the data generated by Internet of Things devices.
Ioetec Ltd is also an Alumni of the GCHQ Cyber Accelerator.
