The AGM is an important meeting in the Branch calendar and is a formal opportunity for Branch BCS members to review the past year and influence and shape what we do in the future; it’s an opportunity for anyone to get involved.

2019 has brought us the first year of enforcement for GDPR, a focus on IT Security and a spotlight on our need to actively promote and seek opportunities to establish Diversity in IT and Technology. This presentation will review what has happened in the last year and look at what we need to do in the coming year to help set the right priorities; Making IT good for society.

David is a Senior Business Analyst responsible for the implementation of standards and best practice for Secure Trust Bank PLC, is the BCS Birmingham Branch’s Education Liaison Officer. He has over 30 years’ experience leading IT Change activities. As a business analyst and enterprise architect, he has delivered many large-scale business and technical solutions, including HR, Workforce Management, CRM and ERP solutions. David is also a specialist in the field of data protection and banking regulation.
