SYNOPSIS
The demand for data scientists to make sense of and derive benefit from the increasing volume of data now available has never been higher. Hugh will present on the different skills required to enter and make a success of a career as a data science professional.
He will consider both technical and business acumen, and draw conclusions on those skills which are likely to see increasing demand and those that are likely to be temporary, diminishing as the domain becomes more established and commoditised.
Time will be allocated for questions at the end of the presentation and afterwards Hugh will join us for the traditional networking opportunity with refreshments.

Speaker Hugh Cox founded Rosslyn Analytics Ltd (now Rosslyn Data Technologies PLC) in 2005 after leaving the British Army and working at the
C-suite level in a number of Blue Chip corporations, including Citibank, JP Morgan, Perot Systems and Logica.
Hugh now focuses on the Chief Data Officer role and the delivery of business insights to Fortune 1000 companies using a unique cloud technology approach. Primary interests are in all aspects of data strategy, analytics and security, with a strong focus on the integration of disparate data sources together with master data management and AI technologies.
