Speaker:
Dr Jillian Ney is the UK’s first Dr of Social Media and a Digital Behavioural Scientist. She is a champion for the development of social media intelligence to become a recognised discipline with its own practices, frameworks, guidelines and ethical codes. In this mission she launched The Social Intelligence Lab, a content site and membership community dedicated to social data analysis.
In our session, Jillian will talk about her work in social media intelligence. She will discuss some of the common challenges in analysing social data, how she overcame these challenges, and talk through her work case studies, and where the insights she generated were implemented.
Her own social media intelligence research centres on using social data to find out how people make decisions. This insight is then used to optimise marketing campaigns, content, website conversations and brand communication or in the development of new products and services.
She is a published author, her work has been presented at TEDx, NATO, Social Media Week and Smart Social Summit. She advises enterprises, agencies, government departments, NGOs, IGOs on the development of social media intelligence initiatives.
There will be time to network over refreshments on arrival, and after the formal presentation and Q&A ends.
