The event is held due to the - unfortunate - ranking of Greece at the last position in Digital Economy, based on the official EU DESI ranking.
The goal of the event is to provide the correct directions, know-how, best practices, inspiration and motivation, to the Attendees, so that they will proceed into the Digital Transformation of their Companies - Organisations, thus making it possible for Greece to move on with the Digital Economy.
Mr. Christos Stavroulakis, Chairman of the British Computer Society in Greece, will first note the problems and the causes that led to this situation, and then will mention the strategy and the actions that are needed, so that Greek Companies and Greek State shall proceed on Digital Transformation.
Mr Janek Rozov, Chief Digital Officer of Estonia Government, will present the way of success of Estonia, since this country has remarkable progress in Digital Economy (being in the leading places in DESI ranking), having managed to evolve into a Digital Nation, with e-Residents who have digital ID’s, vote electronically, create digitally new Companies in a few minutes, and generally benefit from any new technology, like blockchain, etc.
Dr Fotis Talantzis and Mr. Dimitris Litsikakis, will talk about Digital Transformation in the interesting areas of FinTech και του Digital Citizen Engagement.
Mr. Yannis Paraschos will present in detail the case of TITAN, one of the biggest Greek Companies (that is in the MSCI Greece index), where a significant Digital Transformation has already successfully been done, being for BCS a good example to follow.
After the end of the speeches, a dialog session will follow between the Speakers and the Audience, and it is expected to be of high interest.
At the end of the event there will be a buffet dinner combined with the cutting of the BCS Hellenic Section New Year’s pie presenting a unique opportunity for networking.
