Jeremy Acklam has been crusading to make travel better primarily through driving change and innovation in the rail industry for over 20 years.
In 1998 whilst CTO at Virgin Rail, Jeremy was responsible for launching thetrainline.com for Richard Branson, the first site to enable the British rail travelling public to book fares direct and access cheaper advance fares more easily.
In 2002, he was instrumental in the creation of the UK’s Integrated Transport Smartcard organization which produced a standard system for contactless travel across. Jeremy Acklam has been crusading to make travel better primarily through driving change and innovation in the rail industry for over 20 years.

In 2002, he was instrumental in the creation of the UK’s Integrated Transport Smartcard organization which produced a standard system for contactless travel across the UK’s rail and bus networks. Between 2002 and 2007 he managed the development of European-wide rail interoperability, securing the agreement of 450 European rail companies.
Jeremy co-founded Global Travel Ventures Ltd with the mission to make travel easier by introducing Account Based Ticketing to UK National Rail to guarantee the lowest available fares for commuter journeys, planning to be operational in 2019. Jeremy speaks regularly on rail industry matters in the media and has presented at conferences worldwide and at Government, Party Political and European Commission events in over 20 countries.

Rod Willis is co-founder of Assentire Ltd which specialises in ‘Accelerating Collaboration’ and ‘Advancing Agile Mindsets’ so that organisations through ‘Design Thinking’, ‘Continuous Improvement’ and ‘Agile Learning’ strategies that bring about lasting behavioural change across an organisation.
He is the creator of the ‘getCollaborating.com’ and ‘getAgileMindsets.com’ providing several frameworks and serious play games designed to enhance collaboration through agile learning practice. This work is now in use across Europe, Australia and New Zealand and is now distributed globally by APMG with a Collaboration Certificate due to be released in the spring of 2019.
