As the employer, you’ll set the selection criteria - this typically includes one or more of the following:
- Five GCSEs and / or A levels
- Level 2 English and Mathematics
- Working at or above the level of the occupational standard
- Other relevant qualifications or experience

Overview
A Content Creator will:
- Create engaging content.
- Create written and audio-visual content that can be used across a variety of platforms and media.
- Work to a brief. They will capture strategy and objectives of the brand and needs of the customer, client, or business.
- Work with clients, marketing and digital teams, productions teams, end users etc.
The Content Creator role is found in employers across all sectors. It is a role that can be in any business creating content to engage with its audience. Employers can vary in size from micro businesses to multinational. The role is found in a very broad range of businesses, ranging from public, private and third sector employers. This may include charities, social media employers, digital agencies, and broadcasters.
Completing this level 3 apprenticeship standard provides possible progression pathways into the Level 4 Digital Community Manager apprenticeship standard or the Level 4 Digital Accessibility Specialist apprenticeship standard.
This standard aims to provide the apprentice with all necessary resources to successfully learn, practice, and complete the skills highlighted as imperative for performing the roles of content creator, junior content producer and content producer which is shown by the apprentice’s successful completion of 2 assessment methods: one project or campaign evaluation report with presentation and questions and one portfolio led discussion.
